There are many events for automobile enthusiasts in Humboldt County, whether you like races, parades or competitions. Stock car races run during the summer starting Friday, June 25th with the beginning of the Fair. Redwood Acres Fairgrounds are at 3750 Harris St in Eureka, CA. Samoa Drag Strip - No Slideshow (yet) Samoa Drag Strip began the "Street Legal Drags" in an effort to eliminate illegal street racing. According to their website, Saturday Night Street Legal Races are free to race and free to watch. Rules for racers can be found at the Samoa Drag Strip's website. Fortuna's annual AutoXpo has many events, including a car cruise, car show, burnout competition, tractor pull and poker run. The AutoXpo Starts Friday, July 23 and goes through Sunday, July 25 2010. All events are free except for the Sock Hop. More information can be found at the Fortuna Redwood AutoXpo's website. Wildwood Days takes place at the beginning of August every year here in Rio Dell, CA. There are many different events during Wildwood Days, but one of the highlights is the car cruise and show sponsered by DJ's Burger Bar.
