Notice is hereby given that the City of Rio Dell will conduct a public hearing by the City Council on Monday, October 30th, 2006, at 5:30pm at the City Council Chambers 675 Wildwood Ave., to discuss the Fiscal Year 2006/07 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) General Allocation application and to solicit citizen input.

The Public Works Dept. of the City of Rio Dell is applying at this time for the maximum grant amount of $500,000 under the Community Development Block Grant's General Allocation for the following eligible activities:

Finance the design and construction of sewer collection system improvements to reduce the inflow and infiltration to the sewer collection system to eliminate the potential health effects that can be caused by the collection system.

The purpose of the public hearing will be to give citizens an opportunity to make their comments known.  If you are unable to attend the public hearing, you may direct written comments to the City of Rio Dell, 675 Wildwood Ave. Rio Dell CA 95562 or you may telephone Ms. Stephanie Beauchaine, Rio Dell Assistant Accountant at (707) 764-3532 with questions or comments.  In addition, a CDBG public information file may be obtained at the above address between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm on weekdays to find out more about the CDBG program.
