Missing Person

Gary Lee Rogers, 37

The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into the disappearance of a Fortuna man who was reported missing late last year.  Gary Lee Rogers, 37, was last seen November 16, 2007 at Hansen's Truck Shop in Alton.   His girlfriend, Katherine Gonze, reported that she and Rogers had stopped at the truck shop at about 2:45 p.m. to use the facilities there.  Gonze entered the shower area while Rogers waited outside with their vehicle.  Gonze reported that when she returned to the vehicle Rogers was gone.  The vehicle and all of the couple's belongings were still at the truck shop.  Rogers has not been seen since.  There has not been any activity on his bank account since his disappearance.

Rogers is a white male adult, blond hair, hazel eyes, 5'11 tall, and 200 pounds.  He is missing three top front teeth.  He has several tattoos including "RODGERS" on his back, a skull on his neck, and a Viking woman on his left forearm.

Rogers has been transient and frequently camps along the river bar in the Fortuna or Ferndale areas. He has also been known to use the name Robert Scarbrough.

Anyone with information regarding this case should call Detective Sergeant Wayne Hanson at (707) 268-3639.
