4.16.10 Welcome to the Rio Dell Times Tea Party Patriots coverage. Here is a Copy of the text of the United States Constitution. The rally offered copies of the U.S. Constitution for sale, rather than being given away and requesting donations as has been done in other rally's. Although I am sure it wasn't intended, the announcement about the Constitution being for sale was in poor taste. The RioDellTimes.com is not endorsing the Tea Party Patriots or their parent organization but consider this an important news item and worthy of attention. There are areas that people can agree on but unfortunately there are many who are listening to those with their own selfish agendas rather than thinking for themselves after carefully evaluating the facts. There is nothing more fundamental to the Constitutional protections of Life, Liberty and pursuit of Happiness or the general welfare of the country than health care, for example. There is no communist, facist, socialist Kenyan conspiracy just like there are no death panels. The founding documents were created to protect individuals against the tyranny they had been experiencing up to that time yet left vague enough to adapt over time. Benjamin Franklin said it best "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty or safety."
